Once again on the front lines of defending freedom, Captain America uses his shield and his fists to stand toe to toe with the enemy, paying back enemy attacks on he or his allies, with interest. Most of all, he will not allow his childhood best friend to be hunted down and killed for crimes he did not commit. He will not allow himself or the Avengers to become political chess pieces, whose mission is decided by committees and power brokers. He won’t let others dictate to him when it’s acceptable to fight for freedom and justice. Thanks to Bucky, Cap never did stop-and he’s not about to now. Bucky was there when life was at its lowest-when he’d lost his parents when he was poor, and weak, and alone… and yet still too proud not to stand up for what was right. Before the Super Soldier Serum, before the war that created him, and before the battles that made him a legend, Steve Rogers had Bucky Barnes.
